We have dedicated much of this past year developing fun and informative resources for the Mk1 community, such as the new Mk1Dubs.com, the Mk1 Customizer, which many of you on Mk1Dubs.com are now familiar with, and now our latest project release is this web site. 

This site was created to provide fellow Mk1 enthusiasts with the most collective information on the various Mk1 Volkswagen models. The development of this resource will be a never-ending, and on-going project. As information is found and learned, we will continue adding to, and updating this site, until it is the most comprehensive Mk1 informational site on the internet.

Mk1Vw.info is full of various technical info tools and data, such as the Mk1 VIN Decoder, the list of Mk1 Recalls and defects, as well as an  extensive list of various Wheels that were offered on Mk1 models.

In addition to all the various FAQ and Information articles, we have a fairly extensive and informative Tutorials and How-To's section for the Mk1 shade tree mechanic. 

For those who are simply information junkies, interested in knowing some of the various options, features and specifications of your particular Mk1 model, you can look it up in the FAQ & Info area by model year. You can also check out all the various paint codes offered for Mk1 models on the new and improved Paint Code Pages, or view the Mk1 Production Sales Numbers, as well as browse through quite a history of various Media Articles, Ads and Brochures in the Gallery. Both US and European ads and brochures have been added, and we still have a ton more to scan and/or upload!   

One of our pages that I personally find to be quite interesting, is the article that tells the minute by minute, hour by hour story of the Factory Construction of the mk1 Golf /Rabbit. The translation is a bit rough, but it's not so bad that you can't get a good idea of the incredible process that gave birth to these cars that we love, not to mention the many incredible pictures of the production process. 

Whether you own a Mk1 (S1) Scirocco,  Golf / Rabbit,  Rabbit Convertible / Cabriolet, Caddy / Pickup, or the Mk1 Jetta, you're sure to find something useful, or at least interesting here on Mk1Vw.info.  I would be remiss if I failed to point out a very special Credits & Contributors page, dedicated to the wonderful sites and people who have been so helpful, giving of their resources, time, skills, knowledge and expertise, to help cultivate and build this Mk1 resource site. So many of the people mentioned on the Contributors page, were not only willing to help, but some have been so excited  to participate and contribute to this site, going over and above our call of duty, trying to help in any way they could. We are most appreciative to them, and pray the Mk1-Gods will bless them in abundance.

This site should be considered a never-ending project, as we will be adding more information, more links, and more tutorials and other Mk1 stuff as it becomes available. We hope you will enjoy Mk1Vw.info as much as we enjoy building it for you!
